Job Description
Seeking a dedicated and experienced individual who can thrive in a fast paced environment and motivate a team to excel in customer service in a non-seasonal transport business. Responsibilities Transition into managing 50+ drivers, dispatchers and shop staff to accomplish targets and goals Oversee training and safety programs to ensure safety and wellbeing of employees Develop and build a strong team to achieve goals Ensure on-time customer service Cost management Compliance in DOT, BIT, FMCSA, and Cal OSHA regulations Flexible to work extended hours on weekends and holidays when needed Schedule daily and weekly routes Ensure compliance with company policies Stay up-to-date with safety regulations Skills Proven work experience as a Transportation Manager or similar role Experience in managing people Organizational, communication, and leadership skills Ability to work independently and as a team Able to build and manage a team to focus and prioritize tasks Truck and trailer maintenance and repair knowledge Basic HR knowledge Basic worker's compensation knowledge Computer skills with Microsoft Office products Ability to multi-task Problem-solving abilities Bilingual preferred Further education preferred California Class A license
