In this energetic role, you'll oversee daily operations, ensure exceptional customer experiences, and drive service excellence. Your mechanical expertise combined with strong leadership skills will empower your team to deliver top-tier vehicle repairs and maintenance. We're looking for a motivated professional ready to manage a busy shop, foster client relationships, and optimize service processes to maximize efficiency and satisfaction. Duties Supervise and coordinate the activities of service technicians, ensuring timely and quality vehicle repairs. Oversee the service department's workflow, including estimating, repair orders, and parts management. Utilize estimating software to prepare accurate repair estimates and communicate effectively with customers. Drive upselling opportunities by recommending additional services such as oil changes, brake repairs, suspension work, or tire services. Maintain high standards of customer service by addressing client inquiries, explaining repairs clearly, and ensuring their satisfaction. Manage dealership or shop operations related to automotive diagnostics, collision repair, transmissions, shocks & struts, and other mechanical services. Handle cash transactions and process payments accurately while maintaining detailed service writing records. Monitor technician performance and provide coaching to improve skills in auto repair, service writing, and client communication. Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment. Skills Proven experience in auto service management with a strong background in automotive repair or dealership settings. Extensive knowledge of mechanical systems including transmissions, suspensions, brakes, shocks & struts, and oil changes. Proficiency with estimating software and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate complex technical information clearly. Strong sales acumen with experience in upselling additional services to clients. Mechanical experience as a service technician or mechanic is highly desirable for understanding technical issues firsthand. Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in estimating and service writing.
