Lead Games Maintenance 3.9 3.9 out of 5 stars 400 Beach Street, Santa Cruz, CA 95060 $21.50 - $25.75 an hour - Full-time Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk 155 reviews $21.50 - $25.75 an hour - Full-time Job Summary Under limited supervision, the Games Maintenance Lead works closely with the Games Maintenance Supervisor, Arcade Technician Supervisor, and management to ensure the efficient daily operation of the Games Maintenance team during an assigned shift. This role supports team leadership, technical maintenance, project completion, and guest satisfaction while modeling safety, professionalism, and provides excellence in Guest Service. Unique Job Requirements This is a unique opportunity to join the Boardwalk's Guest Service Team and must exemplify outstanding Guest Service to our Guest by owning the key Guest Service Principles; Smile, Welcome, Eye contact, Lift the experience and Leave them well in a fast-paced, Guest-focused environment. Must be available to work flexible schedules 7 days per week, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, generally between 7:30AM and 1:00AM. Occasionally work as early as 6:00AM and as late as 4:00AM. Works around cleaning agents and chemicals. Wears a company-issued uniform. Job Tasks Leadership & Operations Serve as shop in-charge when the Supervisor is out of the shop. Work with shop leadership to ensure team is properly trained for their roles. Conducts morning huddles in absence of supervisors. Ensure assigned projects are followed through, completed on time, and documented. Ensure Team Members complete daily opening and closing procedures and checklists. Ensure all breaks are completed and accurately recorded. Provide support, encouragement, motivation, and direction to all Maintenance Team Members. Ensure that Team Members conform to company and department policies. Promote department and company events to team. Support Operations team through team location training and occasional shift coverage. Support events team with games and arcades equipment preparation and shift coverage. Other duties as assigned Maintenance & Technical Responsibilities Fix, maintain, and repair all Arcade, Attraction, and Midway game equipment as needed or assigned. Maintain cleaning and schedule maintenance digital (Mobaro) and physical checklists. Perform minor and major repairs on all games. Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and software issues. Assist with receiving, installing, and testing new games. Assist with troubleshooting MBC readers. Assist with Intercard and back-office system functions/ Assist Supervisor in diagnosing problems and repairing midway games including mechanical, electrical, electronic, and printed circuit boards. Assist Supervisors to perform and oversee plumbing, electrical, carpentry, electronic and painting repair and maintenance.
Maintain accurate records of:
Out-of-order midway games, and attractions Supply levels used for repairs and Guest operation Cleaning supplies at all locations Safety, Cleanliness & Compliance Adhere to all Park safety standards and exceed cleanliness standards. Maintain cleanliness and safety of assigned work areas. Demonstrate and enforce all Park, Department, and Security policies and procedures. Maintain and monitor appropriate guest supply levels for all areas Ensure team compliance with: Guest Service standards Safety guidelines Security and safety measures Grooming and wardrobe standards Guest Experience Provide exceptional Guest Service at all times. Address and resolve guest services or concerns in a positive, friendly, and professional manner Training & Team Development Assist in training all Arcade and Games Maintenance staff. Ensure team meets expectations related to: Guest service excellence Safety compliance Policy adherence Project assistance Repair and maintenance support Relationships (Internal) All levels of Santa Cruz Seaside Company Team Members Relationships (External) Some contact with the public and outside vendors
Qualifications:
Training and Experience At least two years to of general maintenance experience required. Proven ability to achieve a high level of performance and impact. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Self-motivated with above-average organizational skills. Ability to problem solve and make decisions with urgency. Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends, holidays, early mornings, and late evenings. Ability to obtain a Seaside Company Vehicle Certification (Cart, Truck, Forklift). Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Proficiency using Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook). Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work effectively and professionally with others. Ability to maintain accurate and detailed records. Ability to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.. Ability to communicate clearly with management, Team Members, and Guests. Ability to use proper lifting techniques and safe work practices. Ability to see, read, write, and interpret documents and other paperwork. Ability to assist with deliveries and lift up to 100 lbs with assistance. Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality. Adheres to and models all wardrobe and grooming standards Physical Requirements Able to lift, push, pull equipment, and carry up to 90 lbs with assistance and 55 lbs independently. Able to perform physically demanding work, including crawling, stooping, pushing, stretching, bending, pulling, and lifting for long periods of time. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and work in confined spaces for extended periods. Able to stand up to 7 1/2 Hours. Able to see, read, write, and interpret documents and other paperwork. Able to hear normal conversations on the phone and in person. Able to work in a noisy environment. Bi-manual dexterity is required. Able to see, hear, read, write, and interpret basic documents.
