Full Job Description Maintenance Director Santa Maria Post Acute, Santa Maria, CA Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Director to join our team at Santa Maria Post Acute, a 55-bed skilled nursing facility located in Santa Maria, CA. As the Maintenance Director, you will be responsible for the overall maintenance operation of our facility, ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients and visitors. If you have a passion for maintaining a safe and comfortable environment, excellent organizational skills, and strong communication abilities, we encourage you to apply!
Key Responsibilities:
Perform overall supervision of the Maintenance Department, including "hands-on" performance of maintenance and repair work Maintain the building in good repair and free of hazards, ensuring compliance with Federal, State, and local laws Maintain required records and reports, and participate in budget planning for the Maintenance Department Order and requisition supplies and equipment as needed, and orient and instruct maintenance personnel Participate in and plan in-service programs, and attend Department Head Meetings and sit on required committees Recruit, interview, hire, and provide orientation for all employees of the
Maintenance Department Requirements:
High school degree or equivalent and basic training in electrical, plumbing, heating, and HVAC systems Supervisory experience is also required for this position Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the spoken English language Strong organizational skills, good written and verbal communication skills, and ability to work well with others Knowledge of budget preparation process, and ability to positively interact with personnel, customers, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public
