A Maintenance Planner improves workforce productivity and work quality of a maintenance organization by anticipating and eliminating potential delays through planning, scheduling, and coordination of labor, parts and material, and equipment access. Reports to Maintenance Manager and maintains liaison between Operations and Maintenance. Through supervision of the Maintenance Administrator, the planner is also responsible for maintenance of records and files essential to meaningful analysis and reporting of maintenance-related matters.

Education:
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in business or public administration, or a closely related field.
Knowledge of:
Principles and practices in administration including organizational patterns and analysis, fiscal and personnel management. Available resources for gathering data. Descriptive statistics sufficient to reflect results of research.
Skill/Ability to:
Work and communicate effectively with people of various education and socioeconomic backgrounds by respecting beliefs, interpersonal styles and behaviors of both clients and co-workers. Operate contemporary office equipment inclusive of computer, keyboard, and all applicable electronic equipment. Read, interpret and apply complex regulations. Prepare clear, concise reports and correspondence using correct grammar, punctuation, and spelling. Research, compile and analyze information to formulate appropriate alternatives and recommendations. Maintain cooperative working relationships with co-workers, various agencies and departments.
DESIRABLE EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS
Knowledge of agencies and community groups providing emergency services, federal and state emergency plan requirements for local jurisdictions and county personnel practices.
