About the Role A healthcare organization in the Denver Metro area is seeking an experienced, hands-on Maintenance Director to oversee facility maintenance operations and ensure a safe, well-maintained, and regulatory-compliant environment. The ideal candidate is a strong problem solver who takes ownership, stays ahead of preventative maintenance needs, and understands the importance of safety, compliance, organization, and responsiveness within a healthcare environment. Key Responsibilities Oversee day-to-day maintenance and physical plant operations Maintain a safe, clean, functional, and well-maintained facility Develop and manage preventative maintenance programs and schedules Prioritize and complete maintenance requests and work orders in a timely manner Ensure compliance with applicable Life Safety Code, CMS, OSHA, fire safety, and other regulatory requirements Maintain required inspection, testing, and maintenance documentation Coordinate and oversee outside vendors, contractors, repairs, and facility projects Monitor building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting, fire/life-safety systems, and general building equipment Conduct routine facility inspections and proactively identify maintenance or safety concerns Participate in emergency preparedness planning, drills, and response Assist with budgeting, purchasing, inventory management, and controlling maintenance expenses Work collaboratively with facility leadership and other departments to support overall operations Maintain readiness for regulatory surveys and inspections Qualifications Previous maintenance or facilities management experience required Healthcare, senior living, skilled nursing, hospital, or other regulated-facility experience strongly preferred Working knowledge of building systems, preventative maintenance, and general repairs Familiarity with Life Safety Code and healthcare regulatory requirements preferred Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to prioritize competing needs and respond effectively to urgent facility issues Strong sense of accountability and attention to detail Ability to work independently while functioning as part of a leadership team What We Offer Competitive compensation Health, dental, and vision benefits Paid time off 401(k) Supportive leadership environment Opportunity to take ownership of facility operations and make a meaningful impact on the people we serve
