As a Service Manager based in Cheshire, CT, you will play a pivotal role in leading the service department, ensuring operational efficiency, and delivering top-tier service to customers. Responsibilities Lead, mentor, and manage a team of service technicians and support staff, including providing training and conducting performance evaluations Develop and implement strategies to optimize service department operations and improve overall efficiency Establish and uphold service standards to consistently meet or exceed customer expectations Oversee and prioritize service requests, ensuring timely and effective resolution Identify potential operational issues and implement innovative solutions to maintain smooth service delivery Collaborate with sales and parts departments to enhance customer satisfaction and support business growth Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures within the service team Manage scheduling, dispatching of technicians, and allocation of resources to maximize productivity Monitor technician performance, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards Conduct regular performance reviews, identify training needs, and support ongoing professional development Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, addressing their needs and concerns promptly Analyze service-related reports and key performance indicators to evaluate departmental performance and identify areas for improvement Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in service management Qualifications Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a service management role, preferably within a related industry Strong technical background and understanding of service processes Proven leadership and people management skills Excellent problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills under pressure Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on building positive relationships Strong written and verbal communication skills Proficiency with service management software and Microsoft Office Suite Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen Benefits Competitive Medical & Vision coverage Company-paid Dental insurance Company-paid Disability and Life insurance Savings Plan 401K Match Experience and License Requirements Service Management
