Maintenance Supervisor Location:
26 Commerce Drive, Danbury(1) + 458 Danbury Rd, New Milford (1) Position Summary The Maintenance Supervisor is a working leader responsible for executing maintenance work while enforcing standards, developing technicians, and ensuring consistency across the site. This role serves as the central communication link between Maintenance, Production, and Leadership, ensuring clear, accurate, and timely information flow on equipment status, priorities, risks, and actions. The Supervisor bridges the gap between the floor and leadership by translating technical issues into operational impact, preventing surprises, and driving alignment across the site. This role owns day to day maintenance execution, enabling the Maintenance Manager to focus on system improvement and reliability strategy. Core Responsibilities Maintenance Execution & Floor Leadership (Primary) Perform advanced troubleshooting (mechanical, electrical, controls) and lead response to breakdowns. Assign and adjust work in real time based on priority and production needs.

Ensure work is completed correctly, safely, and efficiently. Lead by example—demonstrating proper repair, documentation, and safety practices. Communication & Coordination Act as the primary communication hub between Maintenance, Production, and Leadership. Clearly communicate what is happening, why it matters, and what comes next. Provide accurate and complete shift pass-downs. Escalate issues early with context, risk, and recommended actions. Translate technical issues into operational impact (downtime, safety, quality). Ensure leadership is informed Standards Enforcement & Work Order Discipline Ensure all work orders are completed and closed on the same shift with clear documentation. Enforce Planned vs Reactive classification and failure codes. Reject incomplete or poor-quality work and require correction. Drive Level 4-5 execution (clear problem, cause, action, and outcome). PM Execution & Reliability Support Ensure PMs are completed on time and to standard. Identify PM gaps and recurring issues and escalate for improvement. Own repeat failures, ensure root cause is identified and addressed. Technician Development Coach technicians during live work. Develop troubleshooting ability and accountability. Identify skill gaps and support growth across tech levels. Safety, GMP & Compliance Enforce LOTO, PPE, and GMP standards in real time. Maintain clean, organized work areas. Correct unsafe behavior immediately. Maintenance Support & Ad-Hoc Assistance Provide direct support to technicians during critical breakdowns, large jobs, and high-impact issues. Balance hands-on work with leadership responsibilities (50-70% hands-on / 30-50% leadership).
