Job Description

Job Summary:
The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining various flooring materials, carpentry work, plumbing systems, and electrical equipment in a safe and efficient manner. The candidate must have experience and expertise in flooring installation, carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, repair, and maintain various types of flooring including vinyl, ceramic, hardwood, and carpet. Measure and cut flooring materials to fit the space and install using adhesives, nails, or staples. Repair or replace damaged flooring materials, and ensure the flooring is level, and smooth. Perform carpentry work such as repairing or replacing doors, windows, and frames, installing baseboards, and repairing drywall. Troubleshoot and repair plumbing systems including faucets, sinks, toilets, and drainage systems. Repair or replace damaged pipes, fittings, and fixtures. Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment and systems, including lighting fixtures, switches, and outlets. Install and replace electrical fixtures and appliances as needed. Maintain accurate records of work performed, including labor and materials used. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and guidelines. Respond to emergency repair requests as needed. Communicate effectively with supervisors, colleagues, and customers.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent. Proven experience as a maintenance technician with an emphasis on flooring installation, carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work. Strong knowledge of flooring materials, carpentry techniques, plumbing systems, and electrical equipment. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently or as part of a team. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and work in tight spaces. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Working Conditions:
Work is performed indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions. May be exposed to loud noises, dust, and other hazards. May be required to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. May be required to travel to different sites.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to stand, walk, and climb for extended periods. Must be able to lift and carry heavy objects up to 50 pounds. Must be able to work in tight spaces and at heights. Must have good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
