Job Description

DUTIES:
Assist with supervisory responsibility for the cleaning and maintenance of all buildings and grounds Assist in planning, scheduling and directing all maintenance and repair work Perform all regular maintenance Take personal charge of unusual or difficult work situations Work closely with government officials, Senior Property Manager, Operations Manager and Corporate staff to ensure health department / USDA RD citations are addressed Assure that tools/ equipment is in good condition, materials are used effectively and economically Insure prompt cleaning and renovation of turnover units Help train and supervise subordinate employees Arrange for the availability, issue and custody of necessary tools and equipment. Perform other maintenance and supervisory functions as assigned Inventory control and monitoring Supervise where necessary outside contractors Work directly with maintenance supervisor and propetty manage to make sure all maintenance needs are handled in a timely manner
QUALIFICATIONS
Must have five (5) years hands-on experience in building at least three (3) years of which must have been in a supervisory capacity. Knowledge of the standard practices, tools, materials and safety involved in the trades related to general building and grounds maintenance. Skilled in the care of tools and equipment employed in building and maintenance repair work. Ability to work effectively with fellow employees and others. Enough physical strength to perform tasks consistently and satisfactorily. Must be able to drive, have a CURRENT Operator's License and insurable driving record, be bondable, and have high school diploma or GED.
