Lead Maintenance Technician

Job Overview West Boca condo community seeking experienced maintenance person. Applicants must be able to perform general maintenance including basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, stucco, drywall, carpentry and painting. Must have ability to handle physical workload, good customer service skills and speak English. Knowledge of condo property maintenance, repair and replacement, excellent organizational skills with extreme attention to details and must have good communication skills. Position comes with benefits such as health insurance and 401K. What you'll do Over see the rest of the maintenance crew to make sure work is being done properly. Check all lights, turn on photocells & replace any bad bulbs, fixtures, etc., on common area. Maintain inventory of supplies & equipment. Check all roof leaks to confirm location & moisture presence. Assure that appropriate safety procedures are being followed & when job calls for make sure items are worn (i.e. masks, boots, gloves). Oversee work of approved contractors and make sure work is done properly. Perform regular inspection of all buildings & grounds, to catch problems before they become costly. (i.e. cracks in stucco, banisters, walkways.) Assure all fire extinguishers are fully charged & updated to be current for Fire Department inspections. Check dumpsters for wear & tear. Report to the office with location of dumpster. On a regular basis clean out common air conditioner condensate drains. This needs to be done at least twice a year to prevent backups. Coordinate work orders from office & return completed work orders to office at the end of each day. Inspect property for necessary maintenance and repairs.
