Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Chief Engineer to oversee the day-to-day operations of our facility maintenance team. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for ensuring the functionality, safety, and efficiency of all building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and more. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical knowledge, strong leadership capabilities, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. As a key contributor to our operations team, the Chief Engineer plays a critical role in maintaining brand standards and regulatory compliance while driving high-quality performance across all maintenance functions.
Compensation:
$20 - $23 hourly
Responsibilities:
Support budget planning by providing accurate cost estimates for repairs and capital improvement initiatives. Oversee daily operations of the maintenance department, ensuring high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. Hire, train, schedule, and manage the performance of maintenance staff. Evaluate building systems to determine necessary maintenance, repairs, or upgrades. Create and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Proven leadership and team management skills, including hiring, training, and performance oversight. Strong technical expertise in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general building systems. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and maintenance software systems. At least 5 years of progressive experience in facilities maintenance, including team leadership.
