Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Maintenance Director to lead our facilities maintenance team and oversee all aspects of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems. In this pivotal role, you will manage maintenance operations across multiple facilities, ensuring safety, efficiency, and reliability. Your leadership will drive continuous improvement initiatives, uphold safety regulations, and optimize maintenance procedures to support operational excellence. Responsibilities Lead and supervise facilities maintenance teams to ensure timely and effective repair and upkeep of mechanical systems, electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC units, and high/low voltage equipment. Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance repair procedures aligned with safety regulations and industry standards. Oversee the management of computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) to track work orders, asset history, and preventive maintenance schedules. Coordinate large-scale projects including system upgrades, repairs, or installations while managing budgets, timelines, and resource allocation. Conduct regular inspections using schematics, ohmmeters, multimeters, and other diagnostic tools to troubleshoot engineering issues across mechanical and electrical systems. Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and safety regulations by conducting training sessions and maintaining accurate safety documentation. Manage facilities maintenance teams by recruiting, training, evaluating performance, and fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement. Collaborate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs such as HVAC system repair or complex electrical work involving high voltage or low voltage systems. Prepare reports on maintenance activities, system performance metrics, and safety compliance for senior management review. Skills Proven management experience supervising facilities maintenance teams in industrial or large commercial environments. Strong mechanical knowledge with expertise in HVAC system repair, plumbing system maintenance, electrical systems troubleshooting (including high voltage), and mechanical systems repair. Proficiency in using schematics, technical manuals, Ohmmeters, multimeters, and other diagnostic tools for engineering troubleshooting. Familiarity with OSHA safety standards as well as safety regulations related to industrial maintenance operations. Experience managing CMMS platforms for work order tracking and asset management. Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively while managing multiple projects simultaneously. Strong communication skills in English to coordinate with team members, vendors, contractors, and management effectively. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite for reporting purposes; ability to prepare detailed documentation on maintenance activities. Ability to interpret technical schematics related to electrical wiring diagrams or mechanical layouts.
