Job Description Assistant Maintenance Manager Position Summary The Assistant Maintenance Manager supports the Maintenance Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the maintenance department to ensure the property is maintained in excellent condition. This position assists with supervising maintenance staff, coordinating repairs, preventive maintenance programs, vendor relations, and ensuring compliance with safety standards and company policies. The ideal candidate must have previous experience working in luxury high-rise condominiums, luxury residential buildings, hotels, or resort-style properties, with a strong understanding of high-end customer service standards and building operations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assist in supervising the maintenance team and daily maintenance operations. Support the coordination and completion of preventive maintenance schedules. Monitor the condition of building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, elevators, lighting, and mechanical equipment. Assist with troubleshooting maintenance issues and ensuring timely repairs. Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors when necessary. Conduct regular inspections of common areas, equipment, and facilities. Ensure compliance with safety regulations, OSHA standards, and company procedures. Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment. Support emergency response procedures and be available for emergencies when needed. Assist in preparing maintenance reports and documentation. Provide exceptional customer service to residents, owners, guests, and staff. Support onboarding and training of maintenance staff when required. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of 3-5 years of maintenance experience in luxury condominiums, luxury residential buildings, hotels, or hospitality environments required. Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred. Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical systems, and general building maintenance. Experience working in high-end or luxury environments with elevated service expectations. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and work in a fast-paced environment. Computer proficiency and ability to use maintenance management systems. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb stairs for extended periods. Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Schedule Full-time position. Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and respond to emergencies as needed.
