Job Description

JOB SUMMARY
This is a hands-on role requiring the supervisor to actively perform maintenance tasks alongside the team, including using tools, troubleshooting issues, and completing repairs. This position will oversee the maintenance of all facility components of the operation. The primary responsibility will be to control costs while providing the best possible maintenance programs to ensure equipment reliability and employee safety.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Hands-on environment personally completing repairs Manage building maintenance for both the operations and office areas. Follow-up on all warranty issues and lease issues through distribution services and the manufacturers. Oversee all building maintenance projects, upgrades, repairs, additions, and all material handling equipment monitoring and control. Manage the day to day performance of third-party contract maintenance providers for warehouse equipment and for building maintenance. Work closely with the operations team to ensure their departmental needs are met. Manage all personnel in the sanitation/maintenance department including hiring, handling personnel issues, reviewing performance, conducting training and coaching sessions, and termination if necessary as applicable.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education High school diploma plus a minimum of 2 years' experience in warehouse equipment and refrigeration maintenance Professional skills Must be able to effectively communicate (including reading, writing, and speaking) in English. Must have a working knowledge of PCs, Microsoft Office programs including Excel and Word. Physical Demand Frequent standing and bending are required when checking and repairing equipment and addressing building needs. You must have the ability to communicate clearly, primarily via telephone, with vendors, manufacturers, customers, and Company personnel. Mental/Visual Demands You must be able to read text that is close and at a distance with or without correction Must be able to perform manual tasks, hear, sit, reach, lift, bend, and interact with others. Work Environment Office situated in the warehouse Work involves both indoor and outdoor activities
WORK HOURS
This is a full-time position. The incumbent must have the ability to work a varying schedule which might include shift work (days or nights), weekdays or weekends, and some holidays. Work hours may vary, or change based on departmental requirements.
