Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Service Manager to oversee the delivery of technical support, maintenance, and service operations for our fire safety equipment and IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will lead a team of technical professionals, ensure high standards of service quality, and manage complex projects related to systems engineering, network support, and IT service management. This role offers an opportunity to drive operational efficiency while maintaining our commitment to customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Lead and supervise the service team to ensure timely and effective resolution of technical issues across fire safety systems and IT infrastructure. Oversee the management of network infrastructure including LAN, WAN, Cisco routers, firewalls, and remote access software. Coordinate system engineering activities related to servers, databases, virtualization platforms such as VMware and vSphere, and cloud services like Azure. Implement ITIL best practices for incident management, problem resolution, change management, and service delivery. Manage vendor relationships for hardware, software, and network solutions including SolarWinds, SharePoint, ServiceNow, Jira, and other tools. Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans, business continuity strategies, and security protocols to safeguard organizational assets. Monitor system performance using tools like SQL Server Management Studio, Microsoft Windows Server tools, and SolarWinds to optimize uptime. Facilitate communication between technical teams and stakeholders to ensure clarity on project scope, timelines, and deliverables. Support IT governance initiatives by ensuring compliance with industry standards such as ITIL and information security policies. Drive continuous improvement initiatives in IT service management processes to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction. Requirements Proven experience in managing IT service operations within a complex environment involving server management, network engineering, and systems support. Strong knowledge of AWS cloud services, Azure cloud platform, VMware vSphere virtualization technology, Linux/Unix systems engineering. Hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server databases, Microsoft Windows Server environments including Active Directory management. Familiarity with network security practices including firewall configuration, DHCP management, Cisco routers configuration. Skilled in project management methodologies such as Agile; capable of leading multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent leadership skills with supervisory experience overseeing technical teams. Proficiency in using ITSM tools such as ServiceNow or Jira for incident tracking and workflow automation. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment. Effective communication skills for liaising with vendors, stakeholders, and team members at all levels. Knowledge of business continuity planning strategies alongside disaster recovery planning expertise. Demonstrated ability in vendor management related to hardware procurement and software licensing.
