Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and versatile Jack of all trades Maintenance professional to join our team! In this energetic role, you will be the go-to expert responsible for maintaining, repairing, and enhancing a wide variety of facilities and equipment. Your hands-on approach and leadership skills will ensure our environment remains safe, functional, and consistently working. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your broad skill set across multiple trades, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, welding, and boiler repair. Duties Perform comprehensive maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of electrical systems, including electrical equipment repair and electrical work using schematics and ohmmeters. Conduct plumbing system maintenance and repairs, ensuring all fixtures and pipelines operate efficiently. Maintain building interiors through troubleshooting, and facilities maintenance to uphold operational standards. Service HVAC systems by diagnosing issues and executing repairs to ensure optimal climate control. Operate hand tools and specialized equipment such as welders and schematics to complete repair tasks safely and effectively. Supervise or lead maintenance projects, providing guidance to team members while ensuring safety protocols are followed. Manage maintenance painting projects and oversee facilities equipment maintenance to keep all areas in excellent condition. Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot complex issues across various systems while maintaining detailed records of repairs performed. Knox Horticulture is a production facility and the ideal candidate MUST be able to prioritize task on an as-need basis. The ideal candidate will be a self starter and a good communicator w/other staff and management. English and spanish speaking is a PLUS Skills Extensive experience with maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO), including familiarity with schematics and technical manuals. Strong electrical experience complemented by knowledge of electrical equipment repair and HVAC systems. Proficiency in plumbing system maintenance, plumbing repairs, and building interior/exterior upkeep. Skilled in welding, electrical, plumbing , general mechanical and the use of hand tools for diverse tasks. Ability to read schematics accurately and use tools such as ohmmeters for diagnostics. Leadership skills with supervisory experience in a maintenance setting; capable of guiding teams effectively. Excellent communication skills in English for clear instructions and collaboration across departments. Mechanical knowledge combined with experience working on facilities equipment maintenance across various building systems. Must be able to climb a ladder and lift 50 pounds. Knox Horticulture began in 1962 as Knox Nursery and is a leading wholesaler of young plants to greenhouses across the Unites States. We are located on 33 acres in Winter Garden, FL. Our production processes make extensive use of automation and computer technology, include RFID tracking of plant trays from production to shipping. Hours Salary/wage:
Commensurate with experience Knox Horticulture is a drug-free employer. Knox Horticulture utilizes E-Verify to determine eligibility as required by law.
Pay:
$18.00 - $25.00 per hour
