The JobSquad Solutions Team is currently looking for a Food Industry Maintenance Supervisor to work at a company located in the Alma, GA area!

Job Description:
1.
  • Must have four years of experience in an industrial or meat processing maintenance environment. 2.
  • Must have minimum five years' operating ammonia refrigeration system; two years as lead technician preferred. 3.
  • Must have working knowledge of electrical systems, motor controls, and PLC-supported equipment. 4.
  • Must have knowledge of OSHA, EPA, USDA, and PSM regulatory requirements. 5.
  • Must have experience in a USDA-regulated meat or food processing facility strongly preferred.
6. Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and emergency call-ins. 7. Supervise, coordinate, and participate in maintenance activities involving building structures, grounds, utilities, and processing areas. 1. Direct employees performing structural maintenance including masonry, carpentry, painting, 2. and equipment support. 3. Oversee electrical maintenance including motor controls, high and low voltage wiring, and PLC 4. supported systems. 5. Provide sanitation-support maintenance ensuring hygienic repairs and prevention of product 6. contamination. 7. Plan, schedule, and execute preventive and corrective maintenance activities to minimize 8. downtime. 9. Inspect completed work for conformance with specifications, food safety requirements, and 10. regulatory standards. 11. Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, inspections, and inventory using the ERP 12. system. 13. Request, manage, and control tools, equipment, spare parts, and maintenance supplies. 14. Analyze maintenance problems, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions. 15. Interpret company policies and enforce safety, food safety, and sanitation regulations. 16. Recommend improvements in equipment, procedures, and working conditions to improve safety and efficiency. 1. Assist other departments as requested, including equipment moves, installations, and special 2. projects. 3. Remain on-call and respond to emergency maintenance situations as required. 4. Ensure all maintenance activities comply with USDA, FSIS, OSHA, EPA, and local regulations. 5.

Prevent chemical, physical, and biological contamination resulting from maintenance activities. 8. Participate in USDA inspections, internal audits, and third-party audits. 9. Ensure proper release of equipment and areas following maintenance prior to production startup. 1. Maintain compliance with sanitation standard operating procedures (SSOPs). Refrigeration, Utilities & PSM Responsibilities 1. Supervise the operation and maintenance of ammonia refrigeration systems in compliance with PSM and RMP requirements. 2. Hold or maintain RETA Class A operator certification as required. If candidate does not hold the 3. certification, he will be required to take the license in less than a year from hire date. 4. Serve as part of the facility emergency response team for ammonia and utility-related incidents. 5. Ensure completion of required PSM documentation, inspections, and training PSM and RMP requirements. 1. Hold or maintain RETA Class A operator certification as required. If candidate does not hold the 2. certification, he will be required to take the license in less than a year from hire date. 3. Serve as part of the facility emergency response team for ammonia and utility-related incidents. 4. Ensure completion of required PSM documentation, inspections, and training. 5. Safety Leadership 6. Lead by example in enforcing safety policies and PPE requirements. 7. Ensure compliance with lockout/tagout, confined space entry, hot work, and fall protection 8. programs. 9. Conduct safety meetings and participate in incident investigations. 10. Ensure employees and contractors follow all safety and emergency procedures. Contractor & Vendor Management 1. Assist Maintenance Manager in oversight of outside contractors and service providers. 2. Ensure contractors comply with food safety, safety, and regulatory requirements. 3. Assist Maintenance Manager in reviewing permits, credentials, and work scope prior to 4. authorizing work. 5. Assist Maintenance Manager monitor contractor performance and costs. 6. Supervisory Responsibilities 7. Directly supervises maintenance employees. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, 8. training, planning and assigning work, evaluating performance, rewarding and disciplining 9. employees, and resolving conflicts in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
Education:
