Summary of Primary Functions:
The Maintenance Supervisor coordinates, plans, supports, and supervises in the Maintenance Shop to ensure that preventative maintenance is performed on plant equipment. May need to repair machinery, plant utilities (electrical, plumbing, etc.) and company owned trailers. This will be an Onsite position at the Tindall Conley, GA facility.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
All employees are required to follow all Safety and Quality rules and processes to ensure a safe working environment, and the production of high-quality products. Assign preventative maintenance duties and assign equipment repair requests to Maintenance Mechanics. Coordinate preventative maintenance and repair schedules for company owned trailers. Respond to requests by BDS Foremen for emergency repairs to equipment (flat tires, electrical problems, forklift repair issues, etc.). Inspect machinery and equipment to ensure compliance with company safety rules and OSHA regulations. Plan, supervise, and complete special projects as requested by Plant Manager or Maintenance Superintendent. Inspect and repair plumbing fixtures, electrical wire, and heating/air conditioning units. Contact vendors or sales representatives for emergency replacement of critical machinery parts.
Job Specifications or Qualifications:
Education and/or
Experience:
High School diploma or GED, plus Vocation or Technical Education is preferred.
Experience:
5 years of Maintenance experience or related experience is required.
Supervisory Experience :
2 to 5 years of similar supervisory experience is preferred.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will encounter adverse conditions daily. The employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions; frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts; occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
