Tufting Maintenance Manager MM Tufting — Norcross, GA (relocation support available) Full-time • On-site • $90,000-$100,000/year, based on experience About the role MM Tufting is building a new carpet tufting operation in Norcross, GA, and we're looking for a Tufting Maintenance Manager with deep, hands-on tufting machine maintenance experience to keep our tufting department running at its best. We know the tufting expertise we're after runs deep in the Dalton/Cartersville area, so for the right candidate we offer a relocation package: covered temporary lodging and relocation expenses if/when you make the permanent move to the Norcross area. This is a build-it role. We're looking for someone who has stood up a tufting maintenance program from scratch, including the PM schedules, spare-parts system, and repair processes, not someone stepping into procedures that are already in place. This position is on-site at our Norcross, GA facility. What you'll do Build and implement the tufting department's maintenance program from the ground up: preventative-maintenance schedules, repair/work-order process, and equipment records Perform and oversee repairs on the tufting machines and supporting equipment (mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and control systems) to keep the operation running and minimize downtime Develop and execute preventative-maintenance programs tailored to tufting equipment Set up and manage the spare-parts inventory for the tufting machines and ancillary equipment Manage team of 3 Maintenance Technicians across 2 shifts Maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize the tufting operation's equipment, including: CMC tufting machines Rollup units Belmont yarn back-winder Tuftco sample tufting machine Boiler and steam bars Dial in and maintain machine setups, timing, and adjustments to support product quality and consistency Coordinate with production to schedule maintenance around run schedules Manage outside contractors and vendors for specialized tufting repairs and parts Track downtime and reliability, and drive continuous improvement in tufting uptime Uphold safety practices, including lockout/tagout and machine guarding What you'll bring Required Hands-on tufting machine maintenance experience . This is a specialist role, and tufting experience is essential Demonstrated experience setting up a new tufting maintenance program from scratch , not solely maintaining an existing one Strong mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic troubleshooting skills on tufting and related equipment Experience with tufting machine setup, timing, and adjustment Spare-parts and inventory management experience Ability to read electrical schematics, technical drawings, and equipment manuals Working knowledge of plant safety practices (lockout/tagout, machine guarding, OSHA) Willingness to commute or relocate to the Norcross, GA area (relocation support provided) Availability for occasional off-shift or weekend work for urgent repairs and planned maintenance Preferred Direct experience with CMC, Tuftco, or similar tufting machines Experience with yarn back-winders (e.g., Belmont) and rollup/finishing equipment Boiler and steam-system operation and maintenance experience Experience with PLC-controlled machinery (our tufting lines run Siemens S7-1200 controllers) Prior supervisory or team-leadership experience Work environment & physical demands On-site at our Norcross, GA facility (relocation from the Dalton/Cartersville area supported) Manufacturing plant floor: extended standing and walking, climbing, and lifting; work in tight spaces and at height as needed Exposure to machinery, noise, dust, heat and steam, and typical plant conditions Compensation & benefits $90,000-$100,000 per year , based on experience Relocation package: covered temporary lodging for the first two months (evaluation period), plus relocation expenses on your permanent move to the Norcross area Medical, dental, and vision insurance Life insurance 401(k) with 50% match up to 4% 8 paid holidays + 10 PTO days MM Tufting is an equal opportunity employer.
