Position :
Maintenance Supervisor SUMMARY:
Manages and assists in the day-to-day activities involving the maintenance of the facility, equipment, and machinery. Manages the work of the employees who repair and maintain the building, equipment, and machinery.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs the preventative and unplanned maintenance of the building, equipment, and plant facilities. Performs the installation, moves, repairs of equipment and utilities within the building. Arrange for and manages, appropriate third-party contractor support as needed. Create BOM along with project plan for maintenance projects. Works with management to meet company goals. Keeps in compliance with all Building Code Regulations. Enforce sound safety and housekeeping practices. Interviewing, hiring, and training employees. Planning, assigning, and directing work. Appraising performance. Addressing complaints and resolving problems. Investigate and source parts, technical documentation to repair machinery and equipment; work with machinery vendors to resolve maintenance items. Ability to provide troubleshooting solutions on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic systems and components. Knowledge of planning systems, manufacturing operations, facilities, methods, and tooling. Maintain the workflow process (work identification, PM and repair planning, scheduling, execution, and auditing.) Track expenses and oversee cost effective solutions for addressing plant / equipment repairs.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job is both hands on and supervises Maintenance Technician(s) and Specialist(s). EDUCATION and/or
EXPERIENCE
Associate's degree preferred with technical training in plant or 10 years related experience in the maintenance field and/or a combination of equivalent education and experience. Previous supervisory experience
REQUIRED
. Experience in program logic controls (PLC's), robots, machine tooling, overhead cranes, and high-speed doors.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATION
Forklift Operators Certificate.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Ability to read, write and comprehend documents and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information to internal and external individuals and groups.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
COMPUTER SKILLS
Computer literate
ADDITIONAL SKILLS
Strong mechanical aptitude and a working knowledge of electrical & mechanical systems. Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills. Ability to read and interpret all types of manuals, diagrams, prints, and schematics. Ability to define problems and resolve them quickly. Must be a self-starter who can work well with people at all levels both in and out of the plant. Ability to work well with ever-changing priorities and or situations. Knowledgeable in all phases of building maintenance.
