Job Description

JOB SUMMARY
Under the general direction of the Aquatic Maintenance Manager this position is responsible for facilities and pool maintenance to ensure a clean and safe facility that operates efficiently.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
The following duties and responsibilities are normal for this position; they are not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive. Comply with all departmental policies and procedures Assist with Supervision of subordinate staff including training, scheduling, and ensuring safe practices. Plan and coordinate maintenance to include winterizing, light construction, landscape work' and other special projects. Clean pools, facilities, and grounds according to schedule or as needed. Perform routine and preventive maintenance on all pool equipment and facilities. Ensure proper water chemistry by checking and adding chemicals as needed. Maintain daily log sheets on all maintenance and water chemistry. Report on all issues or hazardous conditions, immediately, to Supervisor or Manager.

DESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience The following standards express the minimum background of training and experience desirable as evidence of all applicants' ability to qualify for this position. Other training or experience, if evaluated as equivalents, may qualify an applicant for this position. Qualified candidates must have 2 or more years of experience in a similar job setting. Necessary Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of record keeping. Able to work with tools and repair equipment. Able to read and write. Able to work unsupervised to complete necessary tasks. Must be proficient at math and problem-solving skills. Ability to have a flexible work schedule. Including nights, weekends, and Holidays. Able to lift and carry objects weighing 75lbs.
LICENSES/ CERTIFICATION
Must have or be able to obtain CPO or AFO certification within 90 days of employment. Must possess a current Valid Driver's License. Supervisory Controls This position reports directly to the Aquatics Maintenance Supervisor or Aquatic Maintenance Manager.
SUPERVISORY DUTIES
Assist with supervising and ensuring quality and quantity of work of subordinate staff.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Some travel by motor vehicle may be required. During the course of the normal workday, the employee will be exposed to hot, wet, humid conditions and outdoor weather conditions. Also may be exposed to concentrations of hazardous chemicals. Quiet to moderate noise levels. Fast paced, requiring flexibility in handling a variety of functions simultaneously.

Pay:
$18.00 - $28.00 per hour
