An Automotive Service Manager oversees mechanics and other workers who service and make fixes to automobiles. Responsible for controlling costs, building a loyal clientele, maintaining good employee relations, setting and obtaining sales and profit objectives and maintaining service records.

Job Duties Lead all day-to-day fixed operations activities within the service department. Drive key OEM performance metrics, CSI scores, productivity, proficiency, retention, and profitability. Partner with dealership leadership to achieve revenue, gross profit, and operational goals. Review and manage departmental financial statements, budgets, expenses, and forecasting. Recruit, hire, train, and develop technicians, advisors, and future leaders. Leverage your industry network to attract top technician talent and build a strong service team. Create a culture focused on accountability, process execution, teamwork, and customer satisfaction. Monitor workflow, shop efficiency, technician productivity, and repair order performance. Build lasting relationships with customers and represent the dealership as a trusted automotive professional. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Must be able to adequately pass a pre-employment background, drug screen, and MVR check. Previous automotive service management experience in a dealership environment. Strong understanding of OEM standards, warranty processes, and manufacturer performance metrics. Proven financial acumen with experience reviewing and managing departmental financial statements and expenses. Demonstrated success recruiting, developing, and retaining technicians. Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach teams and drive performance. Excellent communication skills and a genuine passion for working with customers.
