Job Description
We are seeking an experienced, dependable, and hands-on Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day maintenance operations of our senior living community. The ideal candidate is a friendly, organized, team-oriented leader who takes pride in the appearance and condition of the property. We are looking for someone who leads by example —working alongside the team, setting clear expectations, holding others accountable, and creating a positive and respectful work environment. What You'll DoLeadership & Team Management Supervise, schedule, and coordinate the daily activities of the maintenance team. Lead by example and assist with maintenance tasks as needed. Set clear expectations and hold team members accountable for quality and timely completion of work. Conduct regular property walks to identify maintenance, safety, cleanliness, and curb-appeal concerns. Communicate priorities clearly and foster a positive, team-focused work environment. Work closely with the Community Manager regarding maintenance needs, priorities, and concerns. Property Maintenance & Operations Oversee maintenance of apartments, common areas, amenities, grounds, and building systems. Prioritize and complete resident work orders promptly and professionally. Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met. Perform and oversee preventative maintenance and maintain accurate records. Coordinate vendors and contractors as needed. Assist with apartment turns, inspections, repairs, and make-readies. Maintain appropriate inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies. Keep maintenance areas clean, safe, and organized. Proactively identify and address issues before they become larger or more costly problems. Resident Service Provide friendly, professional, and respectful service to residents. Communicate clearly regarding maintenance requests and repairs. Demonstrate patience and professionalism when working with residents. Help create a community where residents feel confident their maintenance needs will be handled promptly and correctly. Qualifications Previous apartment, multifamily, commercial, hotel, senior living, or facilities maintenance experience preferred. Supervisory or leadership experience preferred. Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, drywall, painting, carpentry, and general repairs. Ability to troubleshoot issues and determine when outside vendors are needed. Basic computer skills and experience with work-order software. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Valid driver's license. Ability to safely perform the physical requirements of the position, including lifting, bending, climbing, standing, walking, and working in various weather conditions.
