Job Description
Job Overview The Manufacturing Maintenance Lead is responsible for the routine maintenance, repair, and upkeep of equipment, machinery, buildings, and grounds across the manufacturing department at Post Equipment. This role independently organizes maintenance schedules, responds to equipment and facility issues, maintains records and inventory, and plans and completes assigned special projects from start to finish. Duties The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Own routine inspections and preventive maintenance for equipment, machinery, buildings, and grounds, including filter and oil changes, lubrication, adjustments, and general upkeep. Maintain accurate service, maintenance, and repair records and track upcoming needs and recurring issues. Diagnose and repair machine, equipment, and facility issues, prioritizing urgent needs to minimize downtime. Maintain building interiors, exteriors, and grounds so they remain safe, functional, clean, and well-kept, including completing general carpentry, basic electrical, and related maintenance. Plan, prepare, and complete assigned special projects from start to finish, including coordinating materials, timelines, progress updates, and final follow-through. Coordinate and complete equipment installation, relocation, and setup as assigned. Safely operate and maintain cranes and other equipment used for maintenance and special projects. Track, organize, and maintain tools, parts, and supplies and order replacement or additional materials as needed. Follow safety and PPE procedures, maintain organized work areas, and communicate downtime, repair status, safety concerns, and project progress. Qualification & Skills High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Higher compensation may be considered for an exceptionally qualified candidate. Previous hands-on experience in maintenance, construction, equipment repair, or a related field preferred. Experience working in a manufacturing environment and maintaining manufacturing equipment is preferred. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Ability to organize priorities and work independently. Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, carpentry, and facility maintenance. Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, cranes, and other maintenance equipment. Strong organization and communication skills. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs. Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and work with tools for extended periods. Comfortable working indoors and outdoors and in various environments, including confined spaces, while using required personal protective equipment. Apply Today!
