PGI is a privately held company, established in 1996. We are a leading supplier of private label solutions in the automotive industry. Our focus is on designing, manufacturing and distributing products for automotive, diesel, power-sports and specialty filter markets. Our supply chain network now branches across the Pacific and into South America. Key Responsibilities Provide direction to Engineering disciplines in all aspects of project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and closure. Guide areas of responsibility in timely resolution of complex problems, including development of technical solutions, project plans, resourcing plans and budgets Develop core team and project management capabilities across the organization and establish, track and communicate project risks Understand and generate capital requests as needed Manages the facility Maintenance, Tool Room and Manufacturing Engineering functions to ensure maximum running efficiency of all equipment and drive process improvements and new equipment startups. Manage Overall Equipment Effectiveness projects and CMMS for Maintenance and Tool Room operations including downtime tracking, analysis and reporting. Maintains good communication and relations with shift supervisors to ensure continuity between shift operations. Develops and monitors budget(s) for Engineering departments. Trains and evaluates salaried personnel and performs annual evaluations on performance. Ensures all company policies and procedures are in compliance. Ensure preventive/predictive maintenance, troubleshooting and repair, facilities maintenance, environmental and building security issues are addressed on a timely and proactive basis. Initiate corrective/preventive/predictive and continuous improvement opportunities through defined/documented channels and actively participate in developing, implementing and verifying corrective/improvement actions. Provide external contractor management and oversight as necessary. Performs other duties, as assigned.
Qualifications Education:
Bachelor of Science in Engineering field or equivalent in education and experience. Master's Degree preferred.
Experience:
5-7 years supervisory experience in a manufacturing engineering role.
Communication:
Excellent communication skills to deal with multiple levels of the organization and to motivate subordinates.
Administration:
Proficient in MS office software Strong attention to detail to recognize errors or inconsistencies
Interpersonal Relations:
Build constructive and effective relationships with a broad and diverse group of people
Leadership:
Ability to develop a team environment to accomplish goals. Promote cooperation with projection of a positive behavior.
Analytical and Conceptual:
Use logic and appropriate methods to solve problems with effective solutions Effectively exercise discretion and independent judgment.
Special Skills:
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Principles Dependability - Must be able to maintain satisfactory record of attendance and conduct. Must be able to work any shift and overtime as required.
