Job Description

Assistant Service Manager - Heavy Duty Truck Dealership Join our dynamic team at a leading Heavy Duty Truck Dealership, where we are committed to providing exceptional service and support to our customers. We are seeking a motivated and experienced Assistant Service Manager who possesses strong mechanical skills, a solid understanding of parts operations, and a proactive approach to managing daily service activities. Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Service Manager in overseeing daily shop operations and ensuring efficient workflow Support technicians on job sites, helping to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues Coordinate and prioritize service jobs to ensure timely completion and customer satisfaction Manage parts inventory, ordering, and stocking to support service operations Facilitate communication between technicians, parts department, and customers Help with job scheduling, documentation, and maintaining service records Ensure compliance with safety standards and dealership policies Contribute to a positive team environment and promote a culture of continuous improvement
Skills and Qualifications:
Proven experience in heavy-duty truck service, repair, or maintenance Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills Knowledge of parts operations and inventory management Familiarity with CDK or similar dealership management software (a significant plus) Certifications from Cummins or other relevant industry certifications are advantageous Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities Valid driver's license and clean driving record We offer a competitive benefits package including health and dental insurance, a 401(k) plan, and opportunities for professional growth.
