Position Summary We are seeking a highly experienced Maintenance Lead Manager to lead maintenance operations in a precision manufacturing facility. This hands-on leader will be responsible for equipment reliability, preventive and predictive maintenance, emergency repairs, facility support, and the development of a skilled maintenance team. The ideal candidate brings strong technical troubleshooting ability and proven leadership skills. They can respond effectively to urgent production needs while building maintenance practices that reduce downtime and improve long-term equipment performance. Key Responsibilities Lead daily maintenance activities, set priorities, and provide coaching and technical guidance to the team. Maintain a safe work environment and ensure compliance with lockout/tagout, electrical safety, machine guarding, and other applicable requirements. Develop and improve preventive and predictive maintenance programs for production equipment, utilities, and facility systems. Direct emergency troubleshooting and repairs, communicating equipment status and production impact to plant leadership. Analyze downtime, work orders, repeat failures, and costs to identify root causes and implement lasting solutions. Plan labor, spare parts, contractors, and tools for maintenance of stamping presses, CNC and tool-room equipment, automation, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems. Maintain accurate work orders, equipment histories, and spare-parts inventory through a computerized maintenance management system. Partner with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Safety on equipment improvements, installations, and production readiness. Develop team members through cross-training, performance feedback, and succession planning. Manage maintenance budgets, evaluate service providers, and support capital projects and continuous improvement initiatives. Qualifications At least 7 years of progressive industrial maintenance experience in manufacturing, including demonstrated maintenance leadership or supervisory responsibility. Strong hands-on knowledge of industrial electrical and mechanical systems, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance. Experience with stamping presses, tool-and-die equipment, CNC machines, automation, hydraulics, pneumatics, or PLC-controlled equipment strongly preferred. Proven ability to lead skilled trades employees, set priorities during equipment emergencies, and hold a team accountable for results. Working knowledge of OSHA requirements and safe maintenance practices. Experience with maintenance management systems, budgets, spare parts, contractors, equipment installations, and capital projects. Ability to read electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, manuals, and other technical documents. Strong communication, planning, decision-making, and root-cause analysis skills. Education A bachelor's degree in engineering, industrial technology, maintenance management, or a related field is preferred. An associate degree, skilled-trades credential, apprenticeship, or an equivalent combination of education and directly related experience will also be considered. Compensation and Benefits The position offers an annual salary of $115,000-$150,000 , performance-based bonus opportunities, health, dental, and vision benefits, and opportunities for professional development.
