Job Description

Join our Toyota Material Handling Team as a
Third Shift Lead Maintenance Technician The Role:
We're seeking a passionate and dedicated Third Shift Lead Maintenance Technician who brings decisiveness, strong decision-making, and expertise to the table. In this role, you'll running PM, repairing, and leading while collaborating with a dynamic and diverse team to achieve shared goals. What You'll Be Doing:
Reporting team activity and progress through visual management (weak point management, pareto charts, other TPS tools, and graphs). Manage general practices for the third Maintenance team, including lock out/tag out (electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic/mechanical), 5S condition (process and shop cleanliness and organization, and other potential hazards (proper PPE) Coordinate daily activities and generate/assign PM's to the associates Coordinate trouble calls for machine downtime to ensure all equipment is repaired with the utmost quality Downtime prevention activities Work order completion according to targets Attain target of no work order older than 25 days Coordinate daily activities to have parts and necessary supplies Retest all equipment with associate and leadership to verify quality and performance of machine Cross shift repair coordination Coordinate the transfer of time sensitive repair and improvement work to and from adjacent shifts to prevent the interruption of production operations Human development Assist in the development of each Associate in behavior and skillset Project management Initiate, plan, execute, control, and report the work of a team to achieve improvement goals Promote kaizen activity Continuously identify and implement improvements (safety, quality, cost, delivery, and environment) Create a teamwork atmosphere through excellent communication and respect for people Daily management Downtime countermeasure effectiveness, check sheet completion, work orders, and project schedules Escalate critical equipment issues or downtime events to ensure adequate resources are assigned Work unscheduled overtime to complete assigned jobs to ensure meeting of production goals Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner Additional duties as assigned
What We're Looking For:
High School Diploma or GED requires 6 years of previous maintenance experience preferred

This is an in-person role located at our Columbus, Indiana office—ideal for those who thrive in a hands-on, team-oriented environment. What Your Total Compensation & Benefits Package will look like: Hourly Wage - $33 - $46 per hour + OT (when needed). Compensation depends on the selected candidate's education and experience.
