Job Description

Lube Center Assistant Manager This is not an entry-level management position . You will play a key role in leading daily operations, developing technicians, delivering an exceptional customer experience, and helping drive the performance and profitability of the Lube Center.

What You'll Do Help lead the daily operations of the Lube Center alongside the Center Manager. Lead, coach, and develop Lube Technicians and other team members. Work alongside your team in a hands-on leadership role . Ensure oil changes, preventative maintenance services, inspections, and other services are completed safely, accurately, and efficiently. Deliver an exceptional customer experience from greeting customers through completion of service. Explain inspection results and recommended maintenance services to customers. Monitor workflow, productivity, and wait times to keep the operation running efficiently. Train and develop new team members while helping build a strong leadership pipeline. Hold team members accountable to company expectations, safety standards, and performance goals. Help manage inventory, supplies, equipment, and overall shop organization. Maintain a clean, professional, and safe work environment. Assist with achieving sales, customer service, productivity, and profitability goals. Experience We Value We have seen successful leaders come from a variety of industries, including: Automotive service, quick lube, dealerships, and repair shops Car washes Restaurants and fast-paced food service Retail and big-box stores Convenience stores and truck stops Sales and commission-driven environments Other high-volume, customer-focused businesses Qualifications Previous leadership, supervisory, or management experience preferred. Automotive service experience is strongly preferred but not required for the right leader. Strong customer service and communication skills. Ability to coach, train, and hold team members accountable. Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities. Ability to learn automotive maintenance services and company processes. Must be willing to work weekends. Ability to commit to approximately a 50-hour workweek . This Is a Hands-On Leadership Role This isn't a management position where you'll spend your day behind a desk. You'll be on the floor, in the shop, working alongside your team, interacting with customers, solving problems, and helping the operation succeed. You must be comfortable working outdoors and in varying weather conditions, standing and moving throughout your shift, and working safely around vehicles, automotive equipment, and shop tools. Physical & Work Environment Stand, walk, bend, crouch, and remain active throughout the shift. Lift up to 50 pounds. Work safely around moving vehicles and automotive equipment. Work in a fast-paced automotive service environment. Maintain safety, quality, and productivity standards throughout the shift. Professional Appearance Standards Our leaders represent Drive & Shine and are expected to maintain a clean, neat, and professional appearance. No neck or face tattoos. Facial piercings must be removed during interviews and while on duty. Maintain a clean and professional appearance consistent with company standards.
