Their duties include mowing, trimming, weed eating planting and spraying, General Knowledge of Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, Painting, Vehicle maintenance, Set Ups, Tear Downs and clean ups of Rented Spaces. Main Responsibilities Property/Grounds Maintenance Building Maintenance Equipment Maintenance Rental Set ups and Tear Downs Rental Clean ups Ability to Make on the spot Decisions Regarding work assignments and the Management of other Employees below them. Always Make the Effort to fix it or make it better on the property all Day everyday.
Lawn care:
Mow, trim, and edge lawns, sidewalks, and around trees and shrubs, Spray weed killer. plant trees and shrubs. Cleanup:
Pick up debris, empty trash, and clean restrooms. Repair and Maintenance of grounds equipment and Tools Used in the Day-to-Day Operations of the Property. Snow removal:
Remove snow and ice, and spread salt. Landscaping:
Plant bushes, shrubs, and trees, and spread landscaping materials Pest control: Spray for insects and vermin control. Be able to work alone and complete Tasks on time and under Budget. Skills and Qualifications Ability to operate heavy machinery safely, like mowers, tractors and forklifts, and Trucks. Repair and Maintenance of grounds equipment and Tools Used in the Day-to-Day Operations of the facility, as well as the ability to clean and put away all tools used in day-to-day operations and the ability to locate those tools when needed. Technical Skills:
Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC systems, carpentry, and general building maintenance. Hand Tool Proficiency:
Ability to use a variety of hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Problem-Solving Skills:
Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot issues with building systems, then make the appropriate repair or call an outside vendor to get the problem solved. Physical Ability:
Ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces. Attention to Detail:
Meticulous in inspecting and maintaining equipment, ensuring thoroughness in repairs. General Knowledge of landscaping, including plants, ground cover, and grass seed Ability to respond to emergencies Physical ability to walk, bend, stretch, push, pull, and climb ladders Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions Grounds Maintenance Worker:
Maintaining outdoor areas like landscaping, parking lots, and sidewalks. A maintenance man, also called a maintenance worker, is responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining the functionality of building systems and equipment within a facility, including tasks like plumbing, electrical work, HVAC systems, carpentry, painting, and general repairs, often performing routine preventative maintenance to ensure smooth operations and address issues as they arise. Key responsibilities of a maintenance man: Regularly checking the condition of building facilities, including plumbing fixtures, electrical outlets, HVAC units, doors, windows, and other systems to identify potential problems. Preventative Maintenance:
Performing scheduled maintenance tasks like filter changes, lubrication, cleaning, and system calibrations to prevent equipment breakdowns. Repairs and Troubleshooting:
Diagnosing and fixing issues related to plumbing, electrical systems, heating and cooling systems, minor carpentry, and other building components. Equipment Installation:
Installing new equipment or appliances as needed. Maintenance Logs:
Keeping detailed records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities. Safety Compliance:
Adhering to all safety regulations and procedures while performing maintenance tasks. Vendor Management:
Coordinating with Front Office regarding outside contractors for specialized repairs or maintenance needs. This Position Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and previous experience in all of the above. Pay is commiserate with experience Job Type:
