Job description: Are you an experienced apartment Maintenance Supervisor looking to work at a fantastic property? Do you want to work at a place where your skills and your opinion are valued, and you aren't just treated like a number? We are currently seeking an experienced, full time Maintenance Supervisor to help oversee one of our beautiful Indiana properties. Certifications are required such as HVAC, CPO or EPA, as well as a passion for running a busy, high profile apartment maintenance team! As Maintenance Supervisor you will oversee the repair and maintenance of the building and mechanical equipment installed in the building. You will ensure timely installation and upkeep of the company's property and systems, like elevators, in order to ensure proper operational effectiveness. As Maintenance Supervisor you will delegate and work with your subordinates on common tasks like painting, plumbing and air conditioning while overseeing team productivity. Qualifications & Skills Certifications (HVAC required, EPA preferred, CPO preferred) Minimum experience of 5 years in a maintenance role Minimum experience of 2 years in a supervisory role Renovation experience a plus Working knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems Familiarity in understanding blueprints and schematics Effective communication and people management skills Responsibilities Train and supervise employees of the maintenance department Negotiate contracts with outside vendors for execution of maintenance work Ensure operational efficiency of electrical equipment and mechanical systems through timely inspection and repair Ensure that company premises and facilities are kept in clean and hygienic condition Implement workplace safety policies and standards
