Maintenance Superintendent - Mining Lyons, KS $130,000 to $150,000 per year Join a mining operation in Lyons, Kansas as Maintenance Superintendent, reporting directly to the General Manager. This role oversees all maintenance activities across the plant, including mobile equipment, stationary equipment, hoists, shafts, the storeroom, procurement, planning, and plant utilities. Schedule Full-time. Supervises maintenance teams across three shifts, including on-call rotation. Compensation $130,000 to $150,000 per year, commensurate with experience. What You'll Do The Maintenance Superintendent develops and improves preventive maintenance programs, applying technical knowledge and safety procedures to minimize repeat equipment failures. This role supervises mechanics, electricians, and other maintenance personnel across three shifts, including on-call duties, while ensuring a safe work environment and enforcing all safety programs. The Superintendent manages maintenance budgets, cost reduction projects, and spare parts inventory, and leads continuous improvement initiatives across the department. Building a positive labor relations climate and a strong team environment across the maintenance group is a core part of this role. Required Qualifications 10+ years of experience in maintenance or reliability leadership 7+ years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role 5+ years of experience in a mining operation Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and experience Experience with CMMS platforms Strong communication, planning, and problem solving skills Ability to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, wear required PPE, and work in varying temperature conditions Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening, physical exam, and background check Preferred Qualifications Experience in underground mining operations MSHA certification, or willingness to obtain Experience leading continuous improvement or lean initiatives Compensation and Benefits $130,000 to $150,000 per year, commensurate with experience Relocation assistance available Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401k retirement plan Paid time off To apply, submit your resume for consideration.
