Job Description

The Maintenance Team Lead is a hands-on leader responsible for guiding a team of skilled maintenance technicians to ensure the safe and reliable operation of production equipment. This role combines strong technical expertise with frontline leadership to support production goals, improve equipment reliability, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Working closely with Maintenance and Operations leadership, you'll foster a safe, high-performing environment while developing team members and maintaining world-class manufacturing standards. What You'll Do Lead preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities to maximize equipment reliability and production uptime. Provide day-to-day leadership, coaching, and direction to maintenance technicians while promoting a strong safety culture. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical equipment while communicating maintenance priorities with operations and leadership. Plan, prioritize, and coordinate maintenance work to support production schedules and minimize downtime. Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety, equipment reliability, and maintenance performance. Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. 5+ years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing maintenance environment. Previous experience leading, supervising, coaching, or mentoring maintenance employees or crews. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical and/or electrical equipment. Strong communication, teamwork, and commitment to safety and continuous improvement. Preferred Qualifications 10+ years of industrial maintenance experience. Experience in a Maintenance Team Lead, Maintenance Supervisor, or similar leadership role. Experience in a cooperage, sawmill, stave mill, lumber, wood products, or other heavy manufacturing environment. Experience developing maintenance technicians and building high-performing teams. Experience using CMMS, preventive maintenance programs, and reliability best practices.
