As an authorized Allsteel dealer, we deliver high-quality furniture solutions and exceptional service to clients across Kentucky and beyond. Position Summary The Installation Manager is responsible for directing all functions of the installation team to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, profitably, and to the highest quality standards. This position oversees installation personnel, project planning, labor estimating, training, and customer satisfaction for commercial furniture installations of all sizes. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with extensive knowledge of commercial furniture systems, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining exceptional service standards. Major Duties and Responsibilities Schedule and coordinate all furniture deliveries and installations. Manage in-house installers and subcontracted installation crews. Review project drawings, specifications, and installation instructions. Conduct pre-install meetings with project managers and installers. Ensure warehouse and job sites are maintained in a clean, safe, and organized manner. Identify and correct quality issues during all phases of installation. Oversee post-installation punch lists and closeout activities. Develop labor budgets, schedules, and installation timelines. Provide daily project updates to project managers and installation leads. Recruit, train, develop, and evaluate installation staff. Coordinate manufacturer training and ensure adherence to installation standards. Monitor labor productivity and manage projects to meet budget and profitability goals. Maintain and submit accurate expense reports and project documentation. Present the company's installation capabilities to existing and prospective customers. Perform any duties necessary to achieve complete customer satisfaction and project acceptance. Performance Accountability Proficiency in all installation skills required of a Lead Installer. Strong initiative and a willingness to learn, teach, and mentor others. Accuracy and timeliness in all paperwork and reporting. Ability to assign work effectively and ensure tasks are completed properly. Valid driver's license and ability to meet company insurance requirements. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Thorough understanding of:
Labor estimating and manpower planning Equipment and site coordination Product delivery, staging, and distribution Task assignment and field supervision Budgeting and cost control Preferred Qualifications 5+ years of commercial furniture installation experience. 2+ years of supervisory or management experience. Experience with major commercial furniture manufacturers, including Allsteel and HON. Ability to read and interpret installation drawings and specifications. OSHA certification is a plus. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook.
