Job Title:
Maintenance Supervisor Job Description The Maintenance Supervisor serves as the subject matter expert for all instrumentation within a fermentation facility and broader plant, while leading a team of maintenance technicians. This role combines hands-on technical work with leadership responsibilities and includes providing secondary on-call support to the night shift maintenance team for troubleshooting complex issues. Responsibilities Serve as the subject matter expert for all instrumentation within the fermentation facility and the plant, ensuring reliable and accurate operation of equipment. Lead, guide, and support maintenance technicians, fostering a collaborative and safety-focused team environment. Provide secondary on-call support to the night shift maintenance team, assisting with troubleshooting and resolving technical issues as they arise. Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to minimize downtime and maintain efficient plant operations. Perform PLC troubleshooting to identify and correct control system issues that impact equipment performance. Coordinate and oversee maintenance activities on instrumentation and related systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with operational standards. Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to enhance equipment reliability and maintenance practices. Communicate effectively with operations and other departments to plan and prioritize maintenance work in alignment with production needs. Essential Skills Strong expertise in instrumentation within an industrial or plant environment. Hands-on experience with electrical systems and troubleshooting. Proficiency in mechanical systems, including hydraulics and pneumatics. Experience with PLC troubleshooting and control systems. Ability to provide effective troubleshooting support during night shift on-call coverage. Demonstrated leadership potential with the ability to guide and support maintenance technicians. Well-rounded technical background across multiple maintenance disciplines. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous experience in an industrial facility, particularly in a process or manufacturing environment, is beneficial. Experience working with fermentation processes or feed production is an advantage. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure. Effective communication skills to coordinate with cross-functional teams and relay technical information clearly. Commitment to safety and adherence to established procedures and best practices. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Nicholasville, KY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $32.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
