Job Description

Join our team as a Parks Maintenance Supervisor - Grounds and help keep community parks, athletic fields, playgrounds, trails, facilities, and landscaped areas safe, clean, and welcoming. Reporting to the Parks Maintenance Superintendent, this hands-on leadership role directs the daily work of the Grounds Crew, coordinates preventative maintenance and improvement projects, supports recreation programs and special events, and assists with emergency response. What You'll Do
  • Lead, schedule, train, and support the Parks Maintenance Grounds Crew.
  • Oversee grounds, athletic field, playground, trail, landscaping, splash pad, and facility maintenance.
  • Coordinate repairs, seasonal operations, vendors, equipment care, inspections, and safety practices.
  • Assist with records, inventory, purchasing, budgeting, work orders, and resident service requests. What You'll Bring
  • High school diploma or GED; additional education or training preferred.
  • Five years of related parks, grounds, facilities, landscaping, construction, or public works experience.
  • Two years of supervisory or crew leadership experience.
  • Valid driver's license; ability to obtain a Kentucky Pesticide Applicator License within 12 months.
  • Ability to work outdoors, lift up to 50 pounds, and work occasional evenings, weekends, holidays, on-call shifts, and emergencies.
Schedule:
40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, with some evening and weekend shifts.
