Job Description
The Plant Utility will perform cross-functioned duties in plant maintenance, production and equipment operation at the Petersburg, KY site. Essential Functions Assist in plant operations including production, quality control, loading and shipping Assist with preventative and routine maintenance on mobile and plant equipment Must be willing to cross train in all plant areas Learn to operate plant-specific mobile equipment Perform daily pre/post-shift inspections on equipment and maintain maintenance log Maintain good housekeeping in areas of responsibility Other duties as assigned Competencies Attention to Detail Safety Acumen Ethical Conduct Teamwork High Sense of Urgency Drive for Results Relationship Building Work Environment This job operates 100% of the time at a surface mine setting. This role frequently operates heavy equipment. Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position that regularly requires long hours and weekend work.
