Job Description
We are currently seeking an experienced Lead Maintenance Technician for the St Gabriel, LA area. Pay range is $35-45 per hour depending on experience. This is a Direct Hire opportunity. Position Overview The Lead Maintenance Technician is responsible for overseeing and performing the maintenance, repair, and reliability of company equipment and facilities within a fabrication shop environment. This role combines advanced hands-on technical expertise with leadership responsibilities to ensure all maintenance activities are performed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with operational goals. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Leadership & Coordination
- Lead and support maintenance technicians in daily work activities
- Assign and prioritize maintenance work
- Provide advanced troubleshooting support
- Train and mentor technicians
- Coordinate maintenance activities with supervisors and operations Technical Responsibilities
- Inspect, maintain, and repair equipment
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Maintain shop machinery and tools (mills, drills, lathes)
- Repair forklifts, trucks, and mobile equipment
- Handle 55-gallon oil drums, repair air lines, etc.
