Job Description

Job Summary Millennium Power Services (MPS) is seeking a Service Supervisor to lead and coordinate daily service operations. This role is responsible for supervising technicians, managing workflow, ensuring customer commitments are met, maintaining high-quality service standards, and supporting continuous operational improvement. The Service Supervisor serves as a key link between customers, technicians, vendors, and management to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong mechanical aptitude, excellent communication skills, and experience managing service teams in an industrial, manufacturing, power generation, or rotating equipment environment. Core Duties & Responsibilities Team Leadership & Supervision Supervise and support service technicians and shop personnel in daily operations. Assign work, establish priorities, and monitor workflow to ensure efficient utilization of resources. Provide coaching, training, and performance feedback to service team members. Promote a culture of safety, quality, accountability, and continuous improvement. Assist with recruiting, onboarding, and development of service personnel. Service Operations Management Coordinate incoming service and repair projects from initiation through completion. Review service requirements, labor needs, material requirements, and project schedules. Monitor work progress to ensure customer deadlines and quality standards are achieved. Work closely with customers, vendors, and internal teams to resolve issues and maintain project momentum. Ensure accurate documentation of work performed, labor hours, and material usage. Customer Support & Project Coordination Serve as a primary point of contact for customer service-related inquiries and escalations. Maintain strong customer relationships through timely communication and problem resolution. Support the preparation and review of service quotations, work scopes, and project updates. Communicate project status, schedule changes, and completion timelines to customers. Ensure customer concerns are addressed promptly and professionally. Safety & Quality Enforce company safety policies and procedures throughout all service operations. Conduct regular safety discussions and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and customer requirements. Monitor workmanship and quality standards to ensure services meet customer and company expectations. Support continuous improvement initiatives related to safety, quality, productivity, and cost control. Administrative Responsibilities Review and approve technician time records, service documentation, and project reporting. Assist with inventory management, procurement coordination, and equipment utilization. Track key service metrics and provide operational updates to management. Perform other duties and special projects as assigned. Qualifications & Requirements Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial service, maintenance, repair, manufacturing, or related operations. Previous supervisory or team leadership experience preferred. Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of industrial equipment, rotating equipment, valves, pumps, turbines, or power generation systems preferred. Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and ERP/service management systems. Demonstrated ability to lead teams, drive accountability, and improve operational performance. Commitment to workplace safety and quality excellence. Physical Demands Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and supervising shop activities. Ability to work in both office and industrial shop environments. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally. Ability to inspect equipment, observe work being performed, and navigate production and service areas. Occasional travel may be required to customer sites or company locations.
