Technician Certification EPA Universal Certification Training & development Full Job Description Service Manager - Commercial HVACR Position Summary The Service Manager leads the commercial HVACR service department, overseeing technicians, service delivery, customer relationships, and operational performance. This role ensures high-quality service execution while driving efficiency, profitability, and team development. Ideal for an experienced Assistant Service Manager ready to step into a broader leadership role. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Team Development Lead, coach, and develop a team of commercial HVACR technicians Oversee hiring, scheduling, performance reviews, and training Promote a strong culture of safety, professionalism, and accountability Service Operations Manage service scheduling, dispatch coordination, and field logistics Ensure preventive maintenance, service calls, and emergency work are completed efficiently Maintain clear communication between field and office teams Maintenance & Quality Oversight Review scopes of work for maintenance contracts to ensure accuracy and profitability Partner with maintenance leadership to maintain consistent standards and execution Identify service opportunities and process improvements Client & Financial Management Maintain strong relationships with commercial clients Resolve escalated service issues and support long-term client retention Oversee job costing, pricing, invoicing, KPIs, and gross margin performance Technical & Safety Leadership Provide technical support for complex commercial systems (RTUs, VRF, split systems, cooling towers) Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and safety policies Stay current on HVACR technologies and industry best practices Qualifications Experience 5-10+ years in commercial HVACR service 3+ years in a supervisory or assistant management role Education & Certifications High school diploma or GED required EPA Section 608 Universal required OSHA 30, NATE, or manufacturer training preferred
