Job Description
Typical Accountabilities
- Provide a range of facilities/laboratory units maintenance, security, safety, customer support, transportation, and support services to enable efficient, and safe operations across the site.
- Act as a point of contact for service inquiries, technical issues, and incidents, using knowledge and experience to resolve problems directly or advance.
- Respond and documents facilities, safety, security, and business-critical alarms, incidents, and emergencies, assuming operational control if necessary and liaising with internal and external collaborators (including emergency services).
- Conduct routine and ad-hoc inspections, preventative maintenance, and repair to offices, laboratories, technical areas, vehicles, and site infrastructure, ensuring compliance with applicable internal and external standards.
- Support business teams through logistical activities such as office moves, meeting support, transport arrangements, and delivery of safe and efficient personnel or materials transportation as required.
- Coordinate, track, and analyze vendor, contractor, and service provider performance and efficiency, reporting relevant data and insights for business case development and operational improvement.
- Prepare, analyze, and present reports relating to facilities performance, incident management, maintenance, compliance, and customer satisfaction to advise management decisions and drive continuous improvement.
- Adhere to and advocate for health, safety, security, environmental, and good practice standards, maintaining up-to-date knowledge and promoting compliance within the team.
- Share technical, procedural, and safety knowledge with colleagues and supports the onboarding and informal training of new/junior staff.
- Actively participate in business change initiatives, contribute to project activity, and adapt to new systems, technology, and process improvements as the need arises.
- Leverage lean process improvement principles to optimize outcomes within own area.
- Identify ways to implement digital solutions that improve performance and efficiency.
- Proactively identify and propose opportunities for improvement to address risk and improve sustainability initiatives.
