Job Description
Service Operations Manager Job Description This role involves overseeing the day-to-day service operations for automated enforcement systems across assigned regions. The position requires managing inventory and logistics, ensuring peak system performance, and developing maintenance schedules. The Service Operations Manager will also supervise field technicians and support teams, while addressing client concerns and coordinating system upgrades and deployments. Responsibilities Manage warehouse inventory and logistics, including monitoring new inventory shipments, spare parts, and reserve units. Ensure all systems, such as cameras, sensors, and back-office software, function at peak performance and meet contractual SLAs. Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules, manuals, and service protocols. Monitor system health metrics and coordinate rapid responses to outages or malfunctions. Create effective processes for support, service, and maintenance. Supervise and support field technicians, service coordinators, and subcontractors. Provide training on equipment, safety standards, and troubleshooting procedures. Conduct performance evaluations and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Review regular service reports, performance updates, and compliance documentation. Address client concerns, escalations, and service requests in a timely and professional manner. Oversee calibration and validation of enforcement systems in accordance with company, legal, and engineering standards. Stay current on emerging technologies in traffic enforcement and recommend system upgrades. Ensure all systems comply with local, state, and federal regulations governing automated enforcement. Maintain accurate service records, audit trails, and calibration certifications. Coordinate new deployments, system upgrades, and site relocations. Collaborate with engineering, sales, and project management teams to ensure smooth project execution. Manage timelines and resource allocation for service-related projects. Essential Skills Experience with camera systems, lidar, or radar, networking, and data systems. Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience in field service management, preferably in Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), surveillance, or enforcement technologies. Familiarity with traffic enforcement technologies and related software platforms. Strong leadership and team management skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience working with government or public sector clients is highly preferred. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Silver Spring, MD. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $100000.00
