Job Description

Compounding Solutions is a leading manufacturer of compounded custom thermoplastic materials, primarily supporting the medical device industry. For over 20 years, Compounding Solutions has sustained consistent growth by focusing on continuous improvement, investing in R&D and innovative technologies, maintaining a robust quality management system, and offering outstanding customer service. We seek a highly motivated Maintenance Manager that is responsible for leading and participating alongside the maintenance team to upkeep the equipment and facility, to solve technical challenges, to prioritize assignments, to communicate with other departments and suppliers/vendors, and to promote productivity, efficiency, and teamwork.
Responsibilities include:
Promoting a healthy culture in the Maintenance group - positive attitude, work ethic, accountability, etc. Managing staff and overseeing successful, timely execution of their duties: Maintenance Techs, Parts Inventory Specialist, Parts Cleaning Specialist, Janitorial Ensuring equipment and facilities are maintained consistently to our best abilities and ready for regular business and special events. Troubleshooting issues with operational systems such as HVAC, fire, security, water/sewer, cooling systems, dryers, compressed air and nitrogen, etc. Implementing and reviewing Calibration and Preventative Maintenance schedules, determining when adjustments are needed, and standardizing what information is being recorded. Developing and implementing other comprehensive maintenance strategies to minimize downtime and ensure the well-being of equipment and facilities. Maintaining robust monitoring systems and detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections. Leading the team in diagnosing and resolving breakdowns promptly. Inspecting and performing maintenance on equipment or facility. Overseeing the daily workflow of the Maintenance department, scheduling events and assignments, and shifting priorities as needed to support Production. Planning and project managing annual department goals and other maintenance requests (Maintenance tickets from CS departments, safety initiative projects, actions stemming from internal CARs or audit findings, etc.) Coordinating personnel and materials for equipment or machinery installs Recommending when investments and resources should be allocated to re-vamp aging equipment or work areas. Supervising, training, and mentoring maintenance technicians and contractors; fostering a safe and collaborative work environment. Providing technical training to management and other team members, such as when a new piece of equipment is put into service. Conducting performance evaluations that are timely and constructive. Ensuring compliance with safety regulations (OSHA). Coordinates work performed by outside contractors, vendors, and engineering consultants. Maintains files of software programs, warranties, records, licenses, inspections, service agreements, and contracts for various pieces of equipment. Oversees the maintenance of facility grounds.
