Portland, ME Pay:
$28.00-$30.00 per hourSchedule:
Full-Time | Monday-Friday Lead. Repair. Mentor. Make an Impact. Wingate Management Company is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the daily maintenance operations of a 164-unit residential community consisting of 17 scattered-site buildings in Portland, ME. This is a working supervisor position, ideal for someone who enjoys leading a team while remaining actively involved in repairs, preventative maintenance, and resident service. What You'll Do Lead the daily maintenance operations by supervising and delegating work, coordinating apartment turnovers, completing preventative maintenance, responding to service requests, and mentoring the maintenance team while maintaining a safe, efficient operation. Perform hands-on maintenance including HVAC troubleshooting (boilers and heating systems), plumbing repairs such as sinks, tubs, drains, and fixtures, along with basic electrical, drywall, painting, and general apartment maintenance. Manage administrative responsibilities including work orders, maintenance scheduling, inventory, vendor coordination, contractor agreements, service documentation, and ensuring OSHA and company standards are followed. What We're Looking For Residential apartment maintenance experience is required, with previous supervisory or team lead experience preferred. Candidates should have strong leadership, delegation, communication, organization, and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Strong HVAC knowledge is required, particularly with boilers and heating systems. Experience with general plumbing, electrical troubleshooting, apartment turnovers, and preventative maintenance is essential. Why Join Wingate? Required Education and Experience:

- 3+ years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Working knowledge of electricity, plumbing, carpentry, painting and refurbishing
- Familiarity with HVAC system and various appliances
- Computer proficiency
Certificates/Licenses/Registrations:
(if applicable)- Must possess a valid Driver's License
- Pool certification required where applicable
- CPO if required by city or state
- Certificate of Training (HVAC, other appliances) preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time
