Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Building Maintenance professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the functionality and safety of our facilities through regular maintenance, repairs, and inspections. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a strong understanding of industrial maintenance practices. This position would oversee two locations one in Almont and one in North Branch. Responsibilities Conduct routine inspections of buildings and equipment to identify maintenance needs. Perform repairs on various systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and structural components. Track work orders and maintenance schedules. Operate tools such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and ammeters for troubleshooting electrical issues. Collaborate with other vendors if it cannot be fixed in-house. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed. Conduct all construction and fire inspections, fire drills, and assist with safety training. Skills Strong analytical skills with the ability to diagnose problems effectively. Proficient in tracking maintenance tasks and inventory management. Experience in industrial maintenance with a solid understanding of mechanical systems. Familiarity with using measurement tools such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and ammeters. Experience in fabricating components or parts as required for repairs. Knowledge of general maintenance. Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
