Job Description

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the overall maintenance of the property by having a working knowledge of the whole property's systems and related code requirements, including grounds, HVAC, electrical and plumbing. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, performing electrical repairs, plumbing, carpentry, custodial and grounds, periodic inspections and preventative maintenance, overseeing and scheduling outside contractors, and assisting in move-in and move-out procedures. Maintenance team members must have a concern for work safety along with good teamwork, time management, and customer service skills. Must have experience repairing and a working knowledge of the following areas: carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, cleaning, and HVAC systems. Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and previous full-time maintenance experience. Must be able to work occasional overtime, weekends, and holidays when necessary.
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:
  • Lead the maintenance team with various tasks, such as preparation of units, upkeep of models, installing and removing appliances, as well as general troubleshooting and repairs of mechanical, carpentry, and electrical problems.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC, electric and plumbing systems.
  • Prevent and address hazards to staff, residents and guests such as trip hazards.
  • Prepare units for new residents. May assist with snow removal when required.
  • Work with IT in assisting with any technical issues.
  • Meticulous upkeep of the clubhouse, all applicable amenities, grounds and landscaping.
  • Ensure the entire community is clean at all times, providing janitorial support when necessary.
  • Respond to maintenance requests of residents.
  • Be a part of the on-call rotation within the department.
  • Complete all other duties as assigned by Site Manager.
