Job Description

Our esteemed client is a leading Property Management company with a presence throughout the nation, offering exciting career progression opportunities! They seek a skilled individual for a 340-unit residential community in Grand Haven. The role is pivotal in ensuring the upkeep of the property's condition and its equipment, in line with company standards, to safeguard assets against damage and depreciation. The right candidate will be technically savvy, possess a collaborative spirit, and uphold a strong work ethic.
Key Responsibilities:
Ready vacant units for occupancy promptly. Address and complete maintenance requests while delivering exceptional service. Participate in an on-call rotation schedule, providing critical support when required. Adhere to preventive maintenance schedules to ensure the longevity of property assets. Foster a cohesive team environment and nurture the development of maintenance personnel. Plan and assign daily work schedules for maintenance team members. Support all maintenance activities, covering grounds, custodial, prevention, and emergency pursuits. Cultivate strong relationships with suppliers and other stakeholders. Utilize key skills in HVAC, plumbing, electrical work, and appliance repairs. Enforce community policies and promote a safe living environment. Oversee the maintenance of physical property operations effectively. Lead and mentor a dynamic team while actively collaborating with property management. Plan maintenance schedules and oversee task assignments. Manage extensive capital improvement projects adeptly.
Physical Requirements:
Candidates must be capable of standing, walking, and moving using hands and arms. Must be able to climb, balance, stoop, and crouch. Capability to lift or move up to 100 lbs occasionally is needed.
Qualifications:
Facility Maintenance experience with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory capacity. Prior exposure to multi-family residential maintenance is preferred. A valid driver's license and auto insurance are mandatory. A proactive approach combined with robust organizational skills. EPA Certification and knowledge of pool maintenance are highly desirable. Experience in leading capital improvement projects. Exceptional customer service skills along with conflict resolution abilities. Profound knowledge of plumbing, appliance repair, heating, and cooling systems. Flexibility with on-call duties, snow removal, and weekend availability if required.
