BASIC FUNCTION
The Service Manager, reporting to the General Manager of DeLaval Dairy Service (DDS), is responsible for managing all aspects of Technical Service for customers in each DDS group of locations. Providing proper service involves the regular repair and maintenance of dairy equipment to ensure that it is operating at optimal performance - this includes both advisory services as well as emergency support.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • At the outset, responsible for ensuring proper delivery of service to customers
  • Manage a team of Service Technicians § Assign accounts to Service Technicians § Generate call sheets and distribute to Service Technicians § Receive all service calls and assign to Service Technician(s), maintain a daily log § Schedule any technical training required for the team
  • Manage inventory in collaboration with pertinent team members projects
  • Manage customer relationships and perform customer visits to assess their level of satisfaction
  • Track any warranty and call-back issues
REQUIRED SKILLS / COMPETENCIES
  • Demonstrated high levels of customer orientation and professionalism
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills, matched by the ability to take initiative
  • Knowledge of Microsoft office
EXPERIENCE / BACKGROUND
  • Prior experience managing a service team required
  • Minimum high school degree and basic mathematical aptitude required, some college is preferred
  • Previous experience in dairy industry preferred; sales experience preferred

$86,452.09 - $104,985.30 per year
