Job Description
Position Title:
Custodial & Maintenance Manager Function:
Under general supervision, the Senior Center maintains the facility by general cleaning and helping maintain the building.Supervisor:
Operations Director Type of Position:
Full-Time Major Functions:
- Inspect the building, grounds, and equipment.
- Repairs or facilitates contractors for equipment, appliances, plumbing, electrical etc. as necessary.
- Assists in keeping the inventory of cleaning products and other supplies organized.
- Perform routine cleaning tasks as needed
- Clean building floors in the dining and kitchen areas by sweeping, mopping, or vacuuming as needed.
- Gather and empty trash as needed.
- Set up and take down tables and chairs as needed.
- Build furniture and equipment as needed.
- Follow procedures for using chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
- Move furniture, equipment, and supplies, either manually or by using hand carts at Senior Services activities site and offices.
- Requisition supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties.
